Product description
Knox and OutDry - the new innovation in waterproofing.
Another first for Hand Armour. Knox has selected this new patented OUTDRY technology for the Zero glove. This replaces standard waterproof inserts that are used in all other motorcycle gloves and is a huge step forward in winter glove technology.
The Zero glove features OutDry technology, the four major benefits offered by OutDry Extreme Waterproofing:
Because the OutDry® membrane is bonded directly to the shell and completely seals the stitching. This ensures that the insulation remains completely dry and therefore the wearer stays warm.
Perfect Fit - Increased Dexterity - because the membrane is bonded to the shell. This makes the glove thinner and warmer giving a greater feel and sensitivity.
Windproof - With OutDry® bonded membrane technology, wind is blocked on the outer surface. With conventional construction, cold air can penetrate the exterior and fill the space between shell and membrane.
Highly Breathable - The OutDry® System prevents moisture build up between shell and membrane which allows body vapour to easily push through the glove, keeping hands dry on the inside.
The result is not just another range of gloves, the result is Knox Hand Armour.

"The Zero is a winter take on the Handroid from the purveyors of safety, Knox. As well as keeping your digits warm and dry, there's unbeatable protection should you chuck it down the road. You get scaphoid protection on the palm, knuckle and finger protection, plus there's Knox's Boa lacing for the ideal fit".

Verdict - These are outstanding gloves – bold, different and somewhat revolutionary especially in the rather staid winter/waterproof glove market.
...Interestingly though, after so much use from the Zeros when I pulled my usual glove on it felt really insubstantial and weak, not to mention clumsier, in comparison to the Knox glove. Once you’ve become familiar with the gauntlets on the Knox range most other gloves really feel as if their protection finishes at the heel of the palm.
How a well known bike publication and website can call the BOA system “an answer to a question no-one asked; a triumph of style over function” is somewhat beyond me because I think it is exactly the opposite – a good answer to a question someone should have asked a long time ago. When I put on my older gloves, they all feel insubstantial in comparison to the beefy wrist set up the BOA brings. Sadly, other winter gloves I’ve played with have gauntlets which are really little more than soft Velcro flaps offering nothing in terms of protection (and often little in terms of securing the glove to your wrist either).
